Check the balance

Open Billing after choosing your organization. The balance card separates included and purchased credit.

How credits work

Axilio applies credits and charges using these rules:
  1. Included credit is spent first. Axilio spends your current period’s free allowance before using any purchased credit. This ensures any purchases of additional credit are never wasted.
  2. Included credit resets instead of accumulating. At renewal, any unused included credit lapses. The new period begins with exactly the new allowance.
  3. Purchased credits are only spent after any included credits are spent. Top-ups and automatic recharges create separate purchased lots. When more than one lot remains, Axilio spends the lot with the soonest expiration first (FIFO) to minimize expired credits.
  4. Each purchased lot expires one year after settlement. The one-year clock begins when Stripe settles that purchase. Unused credit in that lot is removed at expiration.
  5. Automatic recharge restores your balance to the amount you configure. It is not a separate credit bucket. When your total balance falls below the configured Threshold, Axilio purchases enough credit to reach the configured Recharge to amount. That purchase then follows the same debt-first and expiration rules.
  6. New credit repays debt first. If your balance is negative, a grant or purchase first reduces that deficit. Only the remainder becomes spendable credit. For example, a $10 top-up against a -$1 balance leaves $9 available.
The balance shown in the dashboard is the combined amount available after these rules are applied. The GET /billing/balance response exposes the same result as separate fields:
  • balance_microdollars is the combined balance. It can be negative when charges exceed the available credit.
  • included_microdollars is the unused included credit in the current period.
  • purchased_microdollars is the total remaining purchased credit across all unexpired lots.
  • purchased_next_expiry is the expiration time of the purchased lot that expires next. It is empty when no purchased credit remains.
When balance_microdollars is negative, both live-credit fields are zero. The next grant or purchase repays that deficit before adding spendable credit. Dedicated-phone rental charges are separate from these credit buckets. A dedicated session does not consume phone-time credit, but metered vision calls during that session can consume the balance. See Dedicated phone pricing for rental periods and Models and pricing for metered inference pricing. Axilio does not provide a routine self-service refund path. Contact support if you believe a purchase or charge requires review.

Add funds

Adding funds and managing payment methods are dashboard-only actions:
  1. Open Billing.
  2. Click Add Funds.
  3. Choose an amount and complete checkout.
The CLI, SDKs, and public REST API do not create an add-funds checkout or customer-portal session.

List and download invoices

Open Billing, select Invoices, filter the list, then click PDF on the invoice you need.
The CLI does not currently list or download invoices. A PDF URL is temporary; request a fresh one instead of storing it.

Configure automatic recharge

Automatic recharge charges the saved payment method when the balance falls below a threshold, restoring it to a target amount. Adding the payment method itself remains a dashboard action.
Open Billing, select Preferences, then find Auto-recharge. If you are an organization admin, you can:
  1. Add or update the saved card through Manage payment method.
  2. Set Threshold to the balance that triggers a recharge.
  3. Set Recharge to to the balance Axilio should restore.
  4. Turn on Automatically top up. Enabling it saves the amounts shown.
If auto-recharge is already on, select Save after changing either amount without toggling it off.The recharge target must be at least $5 and greater than the threshold. If you are not an administrator, you can view the current state but cannot change it.
The CLI does not configure automatic recharge; its billing commands are read-only.

Configure low-balance alerts

Low-balance alerts warn you before insufficient funds can block a session. Negative-balance alerts are separate, always enabled, and cannot be turned off.
Open Billing, select Preferences, then find Usage alerts. If you are an organization admin, you can:
  1. Set Alert threshold to a positive dollar amount.
  2. Turn on Low-balance alert. Enabling it saves the threshold shown.
If the alert is already on, select Save after changing the threshold. If you are not an administrator, you can view its current state but cannot change it.
Updating auto-recharge or alerts requires an organization admin. An API key inherits its creator’s organization role.
