Observability covers the phone’s visual state during and after a session. Use Live view to watch an active phone. Use Recordings to replay the screen after a recorded session finishes processing.

Choose the right surface

Live view, recording, and Telemetry use different credentials and controls. A Telemetry URL is read-only. A live-view URL can carry broader phone privileges unless the session is view-only. Neither live URL is a recording or archive credential.

Follow a visual session

  1. Open Sessions.
  2. Select an active session to watch its screen in Live view.
  3. After the session ends, wait for its recording status to become ready.
  4. Replay the recording and, when useful, compare it with the session’s Telemetry dashboard.
Recording playback can synchronize its playhead with Telemetry time so you can compare screen changes with the operations that caused them.

Control recording separately

Recording and Telemetry are enabled by default, but they are independent:
  • recording: false prevents the screen recording and rolling thumbnail from being written.
  • telemetry: false prevents both live and retained Telemetry without disabling recording.
